Atlantic Wealth Management is Hiring an Atlantic Wealth Management - Relationship Manager Near Morehead, NC

We are looking to add a Relationship Manager (RM) to our team. The RM is an implementer and will manage 100-175 relationships. In effect, they manage the assigned clients' portfolios as if he/she is the Financial Advisor (FA) (similar to a PA for a Physician and a Paralegal for an attorney).

RM will manage assigned client relationships and provide excellent service to ensure overall objectives are met related to clients' financial goals.

  • Makes tactical portfolio and asset allocation changes; trades in client accounts as needed
  • In coordination with the Paraplanner, RM will update financial plans for clients
  • Implements financial plans and recommended next steps
  • Helps clients make progress towards their goals
  • Provides regular market updates
  • Communicates the team's outlook and newsworthy items to clients
  • Attends annual review with the Financial advisor; provides leadership to clients at other meetings during the year
  • Facilitates preparation and necessary tasks for the annual client review
  • Implements the action steps from the client review and documents all follow up
  • With direction from the Financial advisor, determines the appropriate contact frequency for assigned clients
  • Makes proactive outbound calls and communicates regularly with clients and prospective clients
  • Other projects as assigned by firm partners

RM Qualifications

The qualified candidate will possess the following traits:

  • strong organizational skills
  • self-starter, works well independently
  • Aptitude and attitude for the business; Licensed in securities and insurance (Life and Health and Long-Term Care)
  • Credentials and time spent in the business - ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience serving clients
  • Heart of a servant and dedicated to caring for others'

RM Background: consider candidates who might be:

  • Registered and experienced client associate (must be registered before becoming a RM)
  • Financial Advisor who is looking for a better firm culture and alignment; an advisor who may currently be solo who is looking to be part of a team environment
  • Mid-level CPA
  • Mid-level or junior attorney
  • Financial planner
  • Personal banker
  • Undergraduate with a business degree, or an MBA with some business experience
  • Teacher or educator

RM Compensation

  • Annual salary begins at $75k dependent upon experience
  • Compensation is salary plus semi-annual bonus

RM Accountability

  • Strong service experience that the team's clients have come to expect
  • Number of contacts made during the year
  • Client retention and service score
  • Expansion of financial relationship with assigned clients
  • Adherence to investment strategy and process provided by the firm's partners
  • Number of prospect meetings during the year and conversion from prospects to clients
