This position is responsible for reviewing Commercial and Business Banking loan packages for compliance with Bank and Regulatory Policy and Procedures. Loan types include unsecured, real-estate secured, and other secured credit.

Position Accountabilities

• Ensure all applications adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing banking regulations and operations; including Atlantic Union's Compliance Program and associated policies and procedures
• Review Commercial and Business Banking loan packages to ensure all necessary documents have been collected in accordance with procedures, to help reduce errors and improve efficiency in the Commercial line of business. This will include Beneficial Ownership, Customer Due Diligence and Customer Identification Program
• Work with Relationship Managers and their customers to obtain all documents, as necessary prior to loan origination, renewal, or modification.
• Maintain error reporting and monitor remediation of any existing violation of bank policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
• Stay up-to-date on all regulations related to Commercial and Business Banking lending

This position reports to the Portfolio Manager-Business Banking or Manager-Commercial Operations & Projects

Position Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Education – Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience – 2-3 years’ experience with Commercial loan origination or compliance related role.
• Knowledge of BSA and regulatory compliance management

• Experience working in a fast-paced, production environment
• Demonstrated ability to work with a loan origination system
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with other teammates in different parts of Atlantic Union Bank
• Possess effective time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access.
• Working knowledge of state laws, Federal banking rules and regulations, and BSA/AML.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an attention to detail.

Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
