Dietary Aide

As an Atlantic Shores Dietary Aide team member, you will work together with the Dietary team to make sure that our residents have an enjoyable dining experience. This is a great entry level job where you can grow and become a part of a team that feels like family. High school and college students are welcome to apply!

Earn a competitive hourly rate between $15.00 and $18.00 based on years of experience.

Part-time hours: Monday – Friday and rotating weekends. Must have open availability to work between the hours of 3:30-7:30pm or 6:00-11:00am. 

Additional compensation includes:

  • Hourly employees:
    • 1.5x Holiday Pay
    • 1.5x Overtime Pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week
  • Full-time employees:
    • Generous PTO beginning with a maximum of 104 hours annually

Position Summary: The Dietary Aide completes all job tasks in accordance with federal, state and, local standards and in accordance with policies and procedures that are established. The Diet Aide assembles and serves meals to the residents and guests while providing effective customer service. This position stocks and maintains a sanitary health center kitchen. This position reports to the Food and Beverage Manager of Health Care Services.

  • Works as a team to prepare special nourishments, beverages and snacks as ordered and scheduled for each resident. Includes mixing thickening packets in liquids, and other therapeutic dietary needs, etc.
  • Reads and interprets printed meal tray tickets.
  • Accurately plates up food for each resident according to meal tray ticket instructions, to prepare meal cart for Health Center in room distribution.
  • Accurately sets up meal trays, sets up dining room tables, and plates up meals per tray ticket or instruction in the dining room.
  • Rolls silverware.
  • Maintains a clean and organized kitchen and dining area throughout the shift.
  • Adheres to sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Uses professional communication skills and answers menu questions while taking food orders.

Education and/or Experience: Entry level-no experience necessary. Prior food service or hospitality experience is helpful but not required. Healthcare experience preferred.

  • Organization and time-management skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work and be punctual.
  • Positive attitude and teamwork.
