Job Description

Atlantic is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented restoration Concrete Foreman to manage the work crew and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity. The foreman will be the face of the company at the jobsite. They will interact with general contractors, safety inspectors, attend meetings, and assign work. The ideal candidate will possess excellent planning skills, communication skills, and the ability to mentor & develop the crew. The foreman will need to read blueprints, plans, and follow specifications. This person must also speak fluent English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Planning: Partner with project managers & superintendents to develop a work plan based on volume of work, availability of materials, and manpower. Maintain knowledge of processes, equipment, and scope of work. Ensure that materials, equipment, and tools are identified, ordered, and warehoused correctly.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the crew members and management. Gather and share data in a timely manner. Inform superintendent of possible obstacles to the plan.
  • Compliance: Ensure all crew members adhere to safety guidelines, receive safety certifications required for each job, and wear their personal protection equipment (PPE).
  • Training and Support: Offer guidance, mentoring, and training to employees to assist them in completing their tasks and provide career growth & development.
  • Bilingual Support: Provide support in both English and Spanish, facilitating clear communication with our diverse workforce.
  • Record Keeping: Provide a daily work report informing of tasks completed and their associated quantities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, superintendents, general contractors, and other stake holders to ensure success at the job site.

Requirements

  • Understanding of Safety Compliance: OSHA 30 is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a foreman, preferably in the commercial restoration industry or related field. Experience in concrete restoration or waterproofing is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with an ability to manage complex information and make accurate updates for work completion.
  • Communication: Excellent communication with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromise.
  • Prioritization Skills: Must be able to work under pressure, work smart, and prioritize tasks based on company needs.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technology Skills: Comfortable using technology including construction apps such as Procore or mJob time, and standard office software like Microsoft Excel, Word, email, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
