Atlantic Eye Physicians is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Eatontown, NJ

Overview: 
We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Ophthalmic Technician that is detailed oriented and customer focused to join our dynamic ophthalmology practice. As a valued member of our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations. Some travel between our Monmouth County locations may be required. 
Responsibilities: 
  • Obtain a thorough and concise patient history, including relevant medical, ocular, and family history, to assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of eye conditions 
  • Record visual acuity measurements using standardized testing methods, ensuring precise documentation of patients' visual function for diagnostic and treatment purposes 
  • Perform manifest refractions with precision and efficiency, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to determine the optimal refractive correction for patients with refractive errors 
  • Conduct intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements using tonometry techniques 
  • Accurately document examination findings, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans as directed 
  • Must be willing to travel between our four offices
Qualifications: 
  • Must Embrace a patient-first mindset 
  • Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills 
  • Be a team player 
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to the dynamic needs of the practice, including willingness to travel between multiple office locations as needed 
Education Requirement: 
  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Certification preferred, but not required. 
Work Schedule:  
8:00-5:00 Flexibility is key, with occasional availability required for Saturdays and evenings.
