Atlantic AE is Hiring a Remote Architectural Junior Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager to mentor, coach, develop and promote for long-term success. We specialize in the commercial and industrial markets with projects throughout the Eastern and Central parts of the US. We help our clients with their national prototype roll-out, program delivery, and logistic industrial projects on a rapid design and construction timeline. Our clients are on the forefront of customer service, e-commerce, and package delivery to consumers and trust our firm to execute their goals. This position will be working remotely from home, with some travel for project and client meetings. Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages program related functions, setting priorities for the team to execute on a project-to-project basis.
  • Maintains key client interaction and relays critical information to the team needed to execute project related tasks.
  • Develops critical external partnerships between developers, contractors, clients and their respective teams.
  • Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
  • Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project budgets, staff plans, preliminary designs and construction plans.
  • Works with internal and external partners to set expectations, project deadlines, and quality levels to achieve the deliverable set by the client.
  • Collaborates with senior staff to supervise and develop drawings to submit for permit, garner pricing documents, and execute the construction phase of the work.
  • Works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams.
  • Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications with other architecture staff.
  • Works with internal and external design teams to produce project specifications and manuals utilizing emerging technologies.
  • Mentor and train junior staff on the team as we strive to promote from with-in.


Project Manager Qualifications / Skills:

  • Experience with national retail or prototype management a must
  • Ability to provide efficient design solutions to solve clients ever-evolving needs.
  • Self-driven to find solutions and communicate out to internal and external partners.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • High attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under indirect supervision/Work remotely.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills.
  • Technically creative and open-minded.
  • Professional client development skills
  • Leadership skills, ability to build relationships at all levels, internally and externally


Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor and/or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution
  • Licensure preferred, but not required
  • 6-8 years of architectural experience within the industrial and commercial field
  • Management techniques, budgeting with Microsoft Excel, and other industry leading platforms a plus
  • Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems and site requirements
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite is a plus
  • Ability to travel to job sites, building departments, and client meetings in other states
