If you are a highly motivated construction professional, looking to progress your career and experience large scale critical facility construction, you’re the one for us.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise the installation of low voltage systems including but not limited to security, access control, CCTV, fire alarm, intercom, and data/telecommunications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to develop and implement project schedules, ensuring the timely completion of all low-voltage installations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress, quality, and adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Manage and mentor a team of low-voltage technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Monitor project budgets and costs related to low voltage systems installation, identifying, and addressing any deviations or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with building inspectors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to overcome challenges during the installation phase.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including project reports, progress updates, and change orders.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates on project status, milestones, and any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Uphold company safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance among all project team members.

Authority:

  • You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in low voltage systems installation and project management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Fire alarm systems.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage systems including design, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA, and building/fire codes.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management software.
  • Construction background essential
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong team working ethos and a team player
  • Proficient PC skills, Word, Excel, Power point and Email
