Our busy practice is growing and we have an immediate need for a Procedure Scheduler. This position will be responsible for scheduling procedures, pre-procedure verification of benefits and financial counseling, appeals for testing denials, and working with the rest of the team to assure that our patients have an exceptional experience.

Candidates must have prior experience scheduling procedures and have an understanding of scheduling templates, protocols, and requirements. This position will also complete pre-procedure insurance benefit verification and create accurate financial estimates for our patients. Patient financial counseling and making payment plan arrangements is also an important part of this job. . This position is part of the business office team and can count on the support of their teammates to help them at every turn.

The right person will demonstrate:

• Proven prior experience scheduling procedures or outpatient surgery
• Enthusiasm and a desire to learn 
• Prior experience working with patients and third party payers to obtain accurate benefit verification
• A strong desire to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve a shared goal
• A professional appearance and demeanor with both colleagues and clients
• Proven experience overturning pre-certification denials
• Proven experience working directly with patients in person and via telephone and email to provide sound financial counseling.
• Proven experience collecting funds from patients such as co-payments, co-insurance, deductible or "down-payment" on procedures
