Atlanta Flooring Design Centers' Builder and Custom Builder divisions provide assistance in making the perfect flooring selection for customer’s new homes. We pride ourselves on our professional, sincere and friendly approach in helping customers create the home of their dreams. The Builder/Custom Design consultant works with our customers to make informed and tasteful selections for their particular needs and desires.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provided quality customer service through qualification of customer needs, dreams and budget.
• Help guide customers through process of selecting tile, wood, carpet, cabinets, hardware and countertops.
• Designed functional and aesthetically pleasing bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and other areas with the use of 20/20 design software. (Auto CAD knowledge helpful but not required)
• Work with sales associate produce set of drawings, renderings and pricing using 20/20 design software and RFMS pricing.
• Keep showroom clean and organized before, during and after design meetings.
• Assisted customers with their needs for custom designs.
• Create excel reports to send customer selections to builders
• Ability to easily navigate excel documents to find pricing for upgrades.
• Create and update client folders in a shared space for all parties to view.
• Work with general contractors to provide best possible experience for customers during the process.

Qualifications

• Product and installation knowledge of flooring, tile, cabinets and countertops
• Interpersonal skills including excellent listening, verbal and oral communication to allow for professional interaction with customers, builders, vendors and maintain working relationships with co-workers.
• Professionalism to include dependability, accountability, punctuality, professional dress, speech and behavior, organizational skills and self-motivation.
• Previous design experience required.
• Able to lift 15-20lbs repeatedly (moving sample boards)
