ACRM is looking for a full time Medical Record Coordinator to join our growing team. This position is an integral part of our team and vital to helping us create a smooth and personal experience for each of our patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate they are able to contribute to, engage, and work well in a close-knit team atmosphere. Every member of our staff plays a critical role in care operations and therefore must be able to assume ownership of their responsibilities. Applicant must be mature, self-directed, well organized, thorough, well spoken, and a quick learner. We're looking for someone with a warm, calm personality that presents professionally to our patients.

This position is located at our main office in Sandy Springs. The hours are Monday – Friday from approximately 7:30am – 4:00pm with a 30-minute lunch.

The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for scanning all new patient paperwork, consents, outside medical records and outside lab orders. Performs faxing of all outside HSG results to requesting MDs and burning HSG discs for patient pick up. Additional responsibilities are the labeling of all files and consents in eBridge, resource and NextGen. Fills the PSS department backflow; responsible for learning the patient access associate role and the phone receptionist as well.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Oversees timely scanning and labeling of new patient paperwork including patient questionnaire, consents, insurance card, photo ID.
  • Sets up insurance appointments if insurance card is provided with NP paperwork
  • Calls or emails patients to notify them if a consent form is filled out incorrectly or missing
  • Supervises the scanning of HSG discs, sending outside HSG discs to referring MDs
  • Scans and logs the images from HSG procedures for in-house patients daily.
  • Scans and catalogues all outside lab orders for outside BW, HSGs, and outside SA, and out of town monitoring patients
  • Scans and labels all outside medical records, outside scans and blood work for new and existing patients
  • Responds ad researches all requests for paperwork and scans from all internal departments and external requests
  • Responsible for maintaining HSG report and faxing HSGs to referring providers daily.
  • Assists other departments as needed when there is staffing shortage or patient/work overflow
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality commitment
Requirements:

PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION

High School Diploma

Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience in customer service

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Basic analytical and time management skills

Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
