Athens Neighborhood Health Center is seeking a dentist to head our dental program. This position will be working with patients of all ages, including students of elementary and middle school ages at our school-based health center. As a federally qualified health center, our centers exist to help the underserved population in the area, and are eager to welcome our newest team member.

Responsibilities:

• Providing direct dental care to adults and children by performing oral exams,
• Developing individual treatment plans
• Performing procedures such as fillings and extractions
• Taking impressions for dental appliances
• Assessing pain and prescribing medications as appropriate
• Providing education to patients regarding proper dental hygiene
• General supervision of the on-site dental hygienist
• Ensuring safe and efficient operations of the dental clinic

Qualifications and Skills

• Licensed to practice dentistry in Georgia
• 2 years as a practicing dentist preferred
• Able to effectively communicate in writing and verbally;
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $70.00 per hour
