Athena Medical Management is Hiring a Credentialing Specialist Near Alpharetta, GA

Description

Athena Medical Management is seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all healthcare providers meet the necessary qualifications and comply with regulatory standards in addition to credentialing our facilities. We have 14 imaging facilities in 2 states that provide mammography and 3D whole breast ultrasound.

Responsibilities:
- Review and process credentialing applications for healthcare providers
- Verify professional licenses, certifications, and education credentials
- Maintain accurate provider credentialing files
- Communicate with providers to obtain missing or incomplete information
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
- Update and maintain provider databases with current information

-Communicate with insurance companies regarding credentialing

Requirements

Previous experience in credentialing providers is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and managed care practices
- Knowledge of medical office operations and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
