Athena Child Academy is Hiring an Assistant Teacher Near Belmont, MA

```Job Summary```
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. Your role will involve assisting with classroom management, curriculum development, and providing support to students with special needs.

```Duties```

  • Must meet at minimum requirements of Assistant Teacher as outlined by EEC.
  • Flexible, organized, strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Passionate about education and working with young children
  • Caring and nurturing attitude
  • Must be able to lift and care for a child up to five years of age and / or 50 pounds
  • Assist in planning and implementing the daily program
  • Assisting in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing materials and supplies
  • Helping with the general housekeeping tasks
  • Treating all children with dignity and respect
  • Attending all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences
  • Participating in professional organizations that work for the improvement of Early Childhood Education
  • Provide a safe, clean environment in the classroom
  • Organize and maintain classroom, equipment, toys and supplies
  • Attend to children’s basic needs by feeding them, dressing them and changing their diapers
  • Supervise all activities to ensure children’s safety at all times
  • Provide appropriate emotional support for each child’s development
  • Encourage problem solving and practice positive behavior guidance
  • Establish a partnership with parents to support the needs of the child

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
