Department Technician

The Michigan Office of Retirement Services (ORS) Employer Reporting (ER) is seeking a temporary Departmental Technician to assist with projects to validate member accounts that have been inactive for several years. The successful candidate will also help cover typical technician duties during a temporary staffing shortage.

Pay Rate: Up to $19/hr

When and Where:

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Mason Building, 530 W Allegan St. Lansing, MI 48809

What you'll do:

Assist with validating inactive member accounts and responding to questions from former members.
Review and evaluate contributions and accrued interest on accounts.
Perform data entry and other technical tasks as needed.
Cover typical technician duties during a temporary staffing shortage.

What you bring:

Proficiency Word, Excel, and data entry.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred:

Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
Knowledge of retirement systems and benefits.
Ability to work in a team environment.
