Job Description
The Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance within the assigned work site, to ensure clean and sanitary floors for our clients. Verifiable work experience using a ride-on floor scrubber, carpet extraction, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors. Candidates must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
Job Responsibilities
- Operating a Floor Cleaning Machine in the form of Carpet Extractors, Floor Scrubbers, Floor Buffers, and Floor Polishers
- Moving Furniture before and after cleaning
- Cleaning, Dusting, Mopping, Stripping and Waxing Floors
- Measuring Chemicals accurately
- Operating Chemical dispensing units.
- Labeling Chemicals
- Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) proficiently.
- Keeping inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Reporting maintenance issues to Supervisor.
- Assisting with hazardous waste collection as requested by Supervisor
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years' of operating a Floor Cleaning Machine in the form of Carpet Extractors, Floor Scrubbers, Floor Buffers, and Floor Polishers
- Physically able to perform the job duties as required by client
- Excellent communication
- High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of position
