Job Summary:
At Home Services For Independent Living is seeking a compassionate and caring Companion for a lovely elderly lady in Manorville, New York. This is a part-time, hourly healthcare/medical position that requires an individual contributor. The Companion will provide companionship and assistance to the elderly lady in her daily activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and be dedicated to providing excellent care.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Companion for Lovely Elderly Lady position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20 per hour, paid weekly. In addition, the chosen candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life.
Hours are 9 AM - 1 PM Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Responsibilities:
•Provide companionship and engage in conversations with the elderly lady
•Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
•Accompany the elderly lady to appointments, errands, and on outings
•Ensure the safety and well-being of the elderly lady at all times
•Report any concerns, changes, or incidents to the appropriate parties
•Provide emotional support and communication with family members as needed
Requirements:
•Proven experience as a Companion or in a similar role
•Adequate written and verbal communication skills
•Compassionate and patient nature
•Ability to follow instructions and work independently
•Experience working with elderly individuals preferred
•Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local outing and appointments (Gas will be compensated)
•Must be able to pass a background check
