Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced caregiver to provide personal care assistance to a senior in his home in London, Ohio. The hours would be Saturdays and Sundays. I need one person to fill a first shift from 7am-3pm and another person to cover 3pm-11pm. Someone else will cover 11pm-7am. Male client lives with his wife, and family lives nearby, who take turns helping with his care.. Has dementia and does not sleep well at night. Client can be difficult and rude at times due to dementia. Needs someone to provide respite for his wife so she can sleep. We are looking for someone to start Monday, that is passionate about senior care, reliable, and great at what they do. Must have reliable transportation and hire contingent on passing background check.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience as a caregiver
• STNA is preferred, or qualifying experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be reliable and have a positive attitude

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and light housekeeping
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Run errands as needed
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Monitor the client's health and well-being
• Report any changes in the client's condition to the supervisor
