Tool Room Technician I

Summary of Position:
Entry level tool room position. Primarily responsible for cleaning and maintenance of injection molds. Will receive guidance from Tool Room Tech II or Tooling Specialist.

Duties:

· Perform maintenance and cleanings on injection molds

· Perform mold changeovers base on MP2

· Ability to aide in manufacturing in tool room with guidance of the Tooling Specialist

· Aide in maintaining machining equipment: lathe, mill, EDM/sinker/wire

· Ensure accurate documentation of work performed and equipment status

· Follow all company and department safety rules and practices

· Follow all quality system procedures

· Comply with all QMS and EMS procedures and work instructions as they relate to the job

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret prints and 3D data
• Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and other gages
• Ability to use surface grinder, lathe, mill, and sonic cleaner
• Mechanical aptitude, desire to learn how to operate machining equipment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of plastic injection/molds a plus
• Knowledge of ASME Y 14.5M Geometric
• Dimension & Tolerancing
