Local law firm seeking a motivated, detail oriented and proactive Legal Secretary to provide general secretarial support. General duties include;

• Drafting and filing legal papers

• General legal writing

• Problem solving

• Communication with clients to include letter writing, email and taking phone calls

• Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and professionally with clients.

• Applicant should have good logic and problem-solving skills.

• General computer literacy; Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and search engines.

• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize.

• Basic grammatical and math proficiency.

• Positive attitude and the ability to be an effective team member.

The following skills are preferred. We are willing to teach individuals with strong soft skills and motivation;

• General legal knowledge or experience; applicable degree or relevant experience.

• Experience with drafting legal documents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
