Astrophysics is an expanding, dynamic and fast-paced company looking for individuals who want to grow with us and be a part of a meaningful security mission. We currently have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembler located in Ontario, California. This position is temporary with the opportunity for permanent employment.

Job Summary

The Mechanical Assembler role is responsible for the assembly of the mechanical components of security x-ray machines. Mechanical Assemblers collaborate in teams to build units that are utilized globally.

Essential Functions:

  • Assemble the mechanical components of x-ray machines
  • Utilize handheld tools to screw and drill parts
  • Connect large panels and other components to machines as needed
  • Assemble equipment according to manufacturing plans, manuals or drawings to meet quotas and deadlines

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months to 1 year experience in mechanical assembly preferred

Shift and Schedule:

  • 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • Monday through Friday
