The Material Handler is responsible for the daily movement of material from the warehouse to the production floor and from the production floor to the warehouse. This Material Handler ensures production work centers are supplied with raw materials and supplementary items in timely manner to maintain efficiency throughout the facility. 

Daily/Position Responsibilities 

• Use information systems to identify raw materials and their warehouse locations.
• Retrieve raw materials and deliver to appropriate production work center. 
• Use information systems to identify supplemental items and their warehouse locations. 
• Retrieve supplemental items and deliver to appropriate production work center. 
• Return all unused raw materials and supplementary items to the warehouse. 
• Respond to special requests for raw materials and supplementary items in a timely manner. 
• Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes. 
• Operate all material moving equipment in a safe manner. 
• Maintain the forklift daily check lists. 
• Behave in a safe manner. 
• Responsible for safe, clean work areas and general housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Skills/Requirements:

The successful candidate will be an innovative, self-directed, team player. Experience using pallets jack, forklifts, etc. is preferred. Applicant must have excellent time management and organizational skills. Action oriented with the ability to exercise sound judgment and constantly seek ways for continuous improvement. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required. 

Experience/Education:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is preferred. 
• Warehouse equipment experience
