Position Overview:

As an Aerospace Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in our supply chain operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and equipment critical to our aerospace projects. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring a wide range of aerospace-related goods and services while maintaining the highest standards of quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.

Material Planning and Forecasting: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, forecast material needs, and develop procurement strategies to support production schedules and customer demands.

Cost Analysis and Budget Management: Analyze pricing trends, market conditions, and supplier performance to optimize purchasing decisions and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints and cost targets.

Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that all purchased materials and components meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality specifications, collaborating with quality assurance teams to address any non-conformities or quality issues.

Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions and ensure continuity of supply, proactively addressing issues such as supplier capacity constraints, geopolitical factors, and market volatility.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and supplier performance metrics, and generate regular reports to track key performance indicators and support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the aerospace or aviation industry.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive cost savings and favorable contract terms.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Knowledge of aerospace materials, components, and manufacturing processes.

Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA regulations).

Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build rapport with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
