Astrocare Home Healthcare is Hiring a Caregiver Near Pasadena, TX

Astrocare Home Health is looking for a compassionate, caring and reliable individual to join our team as a Caregiver. The successful candidate help assist with the activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, continence care, meal preparation, medication reminders, keeping the home safe and clean, as well as the overall supervision of the client's physical and mental well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Empathize with the client.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for the client.
  • Engage in leisurely activities with the client.
  • Conduct wellness checks.
  • Provide proper nutrition and hydration to the client.
  • Change dressings and assist with hygiene tasks.
  • Assist with ADLs and preventative care.
  • Must be able and willing to work within a variety of living conditions.

License/Certification:

  • Diploma or GED (Preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation
  • CPR with BLS or willing to obtain for the job

Experience:

  • Caregiving: 1 year plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Benefits:

  • Health insurance

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CPR Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Pasadena, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Preferred)
