Astrix Technology Group is Hiring a Laboratory Technician - I (Assistant) Near Lawrence, KS

Our client, a global pharmaceutical powerhouse, known for their expertise in developing and manufacturing a wide array of world-class pharmaceutical drugs, life-saving vaccines, and innovative animal-health products, is in search of a Laboratory Technician to join their growing team.
Pay: $18-20/hr
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (flexible schedule)
Location: Lawrence, KS
Job Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs basic preparatory procedures on feed samples containing pharmaceutical ingredients according to FDA cGMP requirements.
  • Performs sample preparation on fecal samples for parasite egg counts, chicken GI tracts for worm counts and serum samples.
  • Prepares laboratory reagents and solutions according to analytical methodology or standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Grinds feed mill samples and prepares samples as part of routine testing programs.
  • Glassware cleaning and other general housekeeping duties.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all work performed.
Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Prior laboratory experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Good documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
