Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Test Planner in support of the Joint Test and Evaluation (JTE) group, Director Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E) located at the Pentagon, Washington D.C.

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: Washington, D.C.

JOB STATUS: Full Time

TRAVEL: Estimated Up to 20%

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

EDUCATION:Bachelor of Science in Business and Management or a bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Five (5) or more years experience in conducting test planning in the DoD operational testing and evaluation environment.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility at the time of proposal submission.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience conducting test planning in the DoD operational testing and evaluation environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in working with the joint exercises process, the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC), and joint tests and evaluations.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience conducting research and coordination for the purpose of writing project test plans and detailed test plans.
  • Experience developing, refining, and maintaining project schedules, to include allocation of resources and identification of project tasks and milestones.
  • Experience with JT&E projects is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical leadership through the application of relevant experience, skills, and demonstrated knowledge of joint and operational test and evaluation processes to guide and direct TO activities such as test planning, test execution, data collection, data analysis functions, technical documentation, and translating abstract elements into useful operational information.
  • Engage in regular, recurring communications with the government JSD, TD, and SMEs to develop and direct test and evaluation operations to ensure conformity with military doctrine, policies, and procedures.
  • Work with the Task Order PM and Lead ORSA, oversee or lead contractor efforts involving development of test concepts, test scenarios, test design, test products, and identification of candidate test venues and resource requirements for JT&E projects; performing technical risk assessments, identifying test limitations, and developing risk mitigation strategies for planning joint tests and evaluations.
  • Bring forth experience and demonstrated knowledge in CONOPS and TTP development, specifically in CCMD and Service component joint military planning and analysis (preferably within the last five years) to illicit, under this Task Order, an extensive working knowledge of existing joint doctrine, authorities, and military command and control to comprehend methodologies to integrate new techniques and concepts into CCMD concepts and SOPs.
