Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Launch Equipment Test Facility Aerospace Technician, 2nd Shift for the LASSO II contract, supporting the Space Division.
This position is currently funded for one year.
JOB DETAILS
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a competent level of proficiency with experience and ability to work in a crew and to perform tasks with little supervision.
Technician classifications shall be mechanical, pneumatic, fluids, & test related. While working in a team environment, assist in the application of engineering principles in creating, testing, and modifying mechanical equipment, support systems, and / or other duties as assigned.
Needs to be able to read and understand schematics, drawings, and work instructions. Also perform maintenance and operations of LETF equipment and systems.
Having experience in Launch Vehicle Umbilical Plate mating is a plus and also having a willingness to learn from experienced staff technicians is a must.
