Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an SE-4 Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Test System Administrator Tester for the TMAS 2 96 CTG Task Order, supporting the 45 TS / TGAE.

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL

JOB STATUS: Full-time

TRAVEL: 10-20%

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Master’s degree in a technical domain or additional years of qualifying experience
• A minimum of 10 years of work experience, or additional years’ experience for degree substitution
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. S. Citizenship
• DoD IA Technical (IAT) Level 2 certification within 6 months of employment in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M DoD 8570 directives and supplementing AF regulations; AFMAN 17-1303 based on position responsibilities.
• System administration and understanding of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting hardware/software.
• Experience installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise networking hardware.
• User and Computer management in Active Directory.
• Basic administration of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong independent and collaborative research skills.
• Deep understanding of general IP routing theory, including static routing and dynamic routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
• Must be able to effectively communicate orally and possess technical writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and lead/direct the work of others.
• Proficiency in the use and integration of MS Office applications.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Use and integration of programming\scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, VBscript, JavaScript, SQL, Python.
• General understanding of DISA STIG controls, including the assessment and implementation thereof.
• Working knowledge of automation technologies and their role in a datacenter environment.
• Familiarity with virtualization technology (virtual machines and/or containers).
• Basic understanding of NAS and SAN protocols, including CIFS, NFS, and iSCSI.
• Understanding of Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) technologies.
• Understanding of Department of Defense (DOD) infrastructure, networks, and associated regulations.
• Understanding of development test and evaluation processes, specifically the DoD Acquisition Lifecycle for program development and detailed knowledge of Air Force C2 test methodologies including DODI 5000.89_DAFI 99-103.
• Knowledgeable with the system development lifecycle, architecture, configuration, and security methods.
• Knowledge of IT systems analyses and application software concepts, functions, techniques, and capabilities sufficient to evaluate emerging technologies in a development environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide system administration, networking expertise, and cybersecurity support to the ABMS Test team and program.
• Provide remote/on premises access to networks to support ABMS Test Team and 96 CTG test objectives.
• Maintain ABMS Test Team physical assets and configurations in the JADC2 Lab in accordance with HHQ security standards to match mission tempo.
• Engineer representative test environments to support customer requests, utilizing virtualization suite or physical assets.
• Attend required technical and security training (e.g., operating system, networking, security management).
• Minor physical duties to include occasional lifting may be required to assist with hardware installation and maintenance.
• Provide technical input to network planning and management with regards to enterprise requirements, physical and logical network distribution, network security, etc.
