Director of Rehabilitation (DOR)

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to join our growing team!

The Director of Rehabilitation will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to patients in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient clinics.

Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate comprehensive rehabilitation programs that meet the needs of patients and support the goals of the healthcare organization.
  • Monitor the delivery of quality care and ensure that all rehabilitation services are provided in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Manage and allocate departmental resources, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care that incorporates rehabilitation services.
  • Oversee the maintenance of patient records and ensure that all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards for rehabilitation services.
  • Supervise and manage the work of rehabilitation therapists and support staff, ensuring that they provide high-quality care and services to patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure continuity of care for patients.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of rehabilitation staff to ensure that they have the skills, knowledge and credentials necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Stay informed about current trends and developments in rehabilitation services, and implement new techniques and technologies as appropriate.

Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy.
  • Active state licensure as a therapist with at least five years of clinical experience.
  • Two years of supervisory or management experience in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement new programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements for rehabilitation services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
