Aston Health is Hiring a Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) Near North Port, FL

North Port Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation (DOR). Our mission is to personalize the wellness journey by providing skilled nursing and rehabilitation experiences that are designed around the needs of each individual. We have earned a reputation for exceptional service and attention when providing rehabilitation, assisted living, and skilled nursing care.

Job Duties:

·Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

·Responsible for direction of the Rehabilitation Services department and staff

·Ability to observe and evaluate treatment effect and recommend changes to physician if necessary.

·Ability to perform an appropriate assessment on all patients as related to the therapy requested.

·Formulate a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluate effectiveness of learning.

·Perform management activities including interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and terminating department staff members.

·Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

·Great communication and interpersonal skills are a must.

·Good decision making and judgment capabilities.

·Coordinate and supervise operations of the department.

·Administer physical agents prescribed by a referring physician.

·Assure competency of all staff members.

·Assist in formulating budget, evaluates department performance versus budget and takes appropriate action to remain within budget guidelines.

·Develop and implement system of reviewing department charges, ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis.

The successful candidate will:

·PT, OT, ST, PTA, COTA

·Current state licensure as a rehabilitation professional.

·Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting.

·Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations related to rehabilitation services.

·Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

·Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of rehabilitation professionals.

Schedule:

·Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

·Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
