Delinquency Control Counselor:

Overview

Call center production environment, auto-dialer making outbound calls, will receive in-bound calls. Early-stage collections (1-30 days late), 80-120 calls per day.

• To control/collect on past due Consumer Loan and Credit Card accounts in accordance with all government and company rules and regulations.
• Provide member financial counseling and mitigate loss for the company.
• Contact delinquent members in an attempt to cure delinquency utilizing all payment options and loss mitigation tools offered.
• Obtain detailed financial information from delinquent members and analyzes information gathered to determine optimal solutions for curing delinquency
• Notate in Collection systems members’ arrangements, reason(s) for delinquency, and any offered charge-off alternatives
• Offer short/long term solutions including repayment plans, promises-to-pay, loan modifications, refinances, personal finance management and deferral programs
• Explain and communicate relinquishing options such as settlements
• Maintain working knowledge of the federal and state consumer protection laws

Experience:

• Entry level would be preferred if they have some financial/collections experience.
• Call center experience does help to keep up with the fast-paced environment.
• Personality and culture fit is everything!

Schedule:

• M-F 10:00am-7pm, (Possible rotating Saturdays)
• Rotating off day during the week. Saturday is always 8am-4:30pm (based on the candidate’s preference)
• Hybrid schedule, 1 day per week (4 days per month on site required)
• Training and working on site fully is an option

Training: 4 Weeks Hybrid: 8am-4:30pm EST. Monday - Friday

• 4 weeks technical training: taught phone etiquette, navigation, empathy—first three days are on site, technical training is hybrid-1 day a week
• Up to 4 weeks after is nesting led by leadership team to develop skills. Re-assessed each week, can get out of it after 1 week depending on the individual.
• Nesting is ON SITE
