Role Description:
This position is structured as an opportunity for the Intern to learn and grow. It provides a chance to get engaged and stay connected with the AM community. Also, this an excellent opportunity to get up-to-date information on the latest AM technology developments from the industry, research institutes, and regulatory bodies. The Intern will be exposed to all areas of the CoE's work while focusing mainly on various Education and Workforce Development (E&WD) activities conducted by AM CoE.
Learning Objectives:
The Intern will gain a comprehensive understanding of how the E&WD programs are developed and how the knowledge is disseminated to the AM community. In addition to that, by exposing to other functions of AM CoE, the Intern will gain an understanding of the AM process chain such as design, fabrication, inspection, application as well as qualification and certification. To achieve this, the Intern will work with ASTM management, technical experts, and stakeholders. The Intern will also get exposed and get trained in multiple project management tools and productivity tools.
General Responsibilities:
* Basic Orientation - Learn about project management platforms (Wrike and MS project).
* Technical Orientation - Learn about ASTM programs and offerings, the purpose of these programs, and be familiar with the existing products.
* Understand existing AM E&WD programs and review what is available in the industry to derive ways to elevate the value each program offers.
* Support the execution of Qualification and Certification programs.
Education:
Must be enrolled in a related Bachelor's degree program as a rising Junior or Senior at an accredited College or University.

* Frequent verbal and written communication with team and other stakeholders by phone or video conferencing.
