Astera Health is Hiring a Primary Care Clinic LPN Near Wadena, MN

If you are an LPN looking for a positive workplace culture focused on safety, quality and excellence, consider becoming part of the Astera Health! We currently have a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position open within the Wadena Clinic.

This position is scheduled at 64-80 hours per biweekly pay period, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Astera Health offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life and retirement. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient; prepares equipment and assists provider during treatments and examination of patients
Takes temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, blood pressure, height and weight to detect deviations from normal, and gauges progress of patient following provider’s order
Observes, reports and documents subjective/objective data to maintain an accurate and timely medical record
Observes emotional stability of patients, expresses interest in their progress and prepares them for continuing care; explains procedures and treatments ordered to gain patient’s cooperation and allay apprehension
Cooperates with all nurses in providing quality care to the patients, works with other departments to provide seamless, quality care to all patients
Prepares patients for onsite visits by contacting to schedule; schedules all post op visit orders/treatments and maintains records of these orders to provide continuity of care

Competencies required include:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to providing excellent customer service, patient care and overall experience
Understanding of health care system and continuum of care
Strong computer skills with ability to become skilled in EPIC with training

Education and experience required:

Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Minnesota

Immunization requirements include: MMR, Hepatitis B (based on the position), Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, COVID-19
