Astera Health is Hiring a Director of Nursing Services Near Wadena, MN
- Works with the clinical staff, including physicians, to standardize work process’ to ensure best practice/evidenced based care and eliminate variations in care delivery.
- Responsible for Safety, Quality of Care, Service, Operational and Financial Performance of assigned areas.
- Serves as a liaison for other departments in the nursing division. Providing project management, operational support and serves as a communication vehicle and representative between Sr. Leadership and the nursing division.
- Development of relationships between departments, administration, physicians, supervisors and direct staff to ensure collaboration and opportunities for shared services.
- Assists with implementation of strategic initiatives and performance improvement activities.
- Identifies opportunities for growth and development in our programs and services.
- Provides leadership and direction to ensure the development of services in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Ensures that clinical support functions are coordinated across staff, functions and activities in order to improve patient and clinical outcomes.
- Provides oversight and ensures ongoing compliance with quality and regulatory programs including but not limited to, CMS, Joint Commission and department specific regulatory standards and requirements.
- Ability to effectively operate standard office equipment and software
- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships

- Maintains confidentiality of information and privacy compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing degree with a master's in nursing, or a related field, or the ability to obtain a master's degree.
- Three (3) plus years of progressive leadership experience in similar role and proven experience in service line and program development; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of the job as listed above.
