Aster Assisted Living Marshfield is Hiring a Caregiver Near Marshfield, WI

Aster Assisted Living of Marshfield is in need of caring and compassionate individuals to assist residents with activities of daily living. ALL Shifts available - CASUAL/PRN. Schedule and pay will be discussed at interview. Caregiving and/or Med-passing experience preferred, but not required. Training provided.

Job Summary A Resident Associate is responsible to provide basic care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Executive Director. Perform duties which include, but are not limited to, feed, bathe, dress, groom, administer medications, or change linens.

Tasks

  • Resident Associate awakens resident and assists them with dressing and getting ready for the day.
  • Resident Associate assists residents with daily functioning, if required.
  • Resident Associate monitors resident’s personal hygiene efforts.
  • Resident Associate assists residents in showering and bathing and follows scheduled showering times.
  • Resident Associate observes and notes/reports and skin conditions, sores, mental or physical changes.
  • Resident Associate answers resident’s emergency response system call signals.
  • Resident Associate assists residents to dining areas during meal times if needed, and other areas of the building throughout the day.
  • Resident Associate completes laundry of soiled linens as needed.
  • Resident Associate as delegated by Registered Nurse, assumes direct supervision of keys for medication cabinets.
  • Resident Associate as delegated by Registered Nurse, administers and monitors resident medications and notes in personal care plan variations, problems, and concerns observed.
  • Resident Associate records BMs daily and blood pressure, weight once a week on shower day (unless otherwise ordered by a physician) on flow sheets.
  • Resident Associate as delegated by Registered Nurse, notes medication supply and advises Director when supply is nearly depleted.
  • Resident Associate provides oral report to shift change personnel as well as reads and initials shift change notes.
  • Resident Associate assists residents in laying down for rest times and bed-time at night.
  • Resident Associate makes rounds during the shift to check on residents’ status.
  • Resident Associate assists in making resident beds when needed.
  • Resident Associate assists housekeeping when needed.
  • Resident Associate spends time socializing with tenants.
  • Resident Associate assist residents with clean-up in any instance of toileting problems.
  • Other tasks may be assigned on a daily basis.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is desired, but not required.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position listed above including the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, walking, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to move intermittently up to eight hours throughout the day.
