About Astellas Rx Business Accelerator

The Rx Business Accelerator develops novel, non-drug, medical solutions with the objective of generating independent revenue from such new programs/businesses. Establishing a profitable Rx Business is one of four strategic goals of Astellas' corporate mid-term plan.

Rx programs/businesses leverage the deep healthcare expertise and knowledge of Astellas, which has been cultivated through its pharmaceutical business, integrate innovative medical technology and cutting-edge innovations from different fields, improve the patient experience across the patient journey (i.e., diagnostic, preventive, therapeutic and prognostic care) and create new revenue streams separate from our core Rx products. https://www.astellas.com/en/science/rx-plus

Establishing successful Rx programs requires building new businesses that leverage the strength of the pharmaceutical business while benefiting from collaboration with external partners in other industries (e.g., Digital Health, Digital Therapeutics, Medical Device, Remote Patient Monitoring, etc.)

  • Develops and maintains the materials and tools needed to execute implementation and operations activities, with a focus on standardization and scalability

  • Provides customer leadership and advocacy with customer accounts and within Astellas
