JOB DESCRIPTION

I. JOB DESCRIPTION

A. TITLE: Material handler/Production – Generalist
B. REPORTS TO: Logistics/Facility Manager
C. FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

II. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The Material handler/Production-Generalist will work in close coordination with the Logistics/Facility and Manufacturing Managers. Primary assignments include local delivery of AVRE products to customers, material handling and production/machine operation. Position may also be assigned to a variety of other job tasks within AVRE’s

Business Division.

III. BUSINESS COMMUNICATION

A. Communication with the Logistics/Facility Manager is ongoing
B. Communication with the Production Manager and/or Production Supervisor is ongoing.

C. Communication with Accounting Associate is ongoing.
D. Communication with AVRE local customers is regular

IV. SUPERVISION REQUIRED

The position requires the ability to work independently, but in close coordination with the

Logistics/Facility Manager and the Production Manager.

VI. EDUCATION REQUIRED

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent

V. TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Valid and current driver’s license is required. Knowledge and experience in the operation of material handling equipment and general manufacturing operations is desired.

Experience in the use of a local delivery truck is required.

VI. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

This position requires a minimum of one-year related experience in a production/manufacturing setting. Experience in the operation of forklifts and other power equipment required. Experience with customer service is desired.

VII. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.

VIII. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Local customer deliveries
B. Operation of material handling equipment.
C. Moving and storage of finished goods and raw material.
D. Organization of Inventory
E. Machine operations
F. Production/Packaging
G. Quality Control
H. Shipping/Receiving (loading/unloading trucks and trailers)
I. Proper handling of shipping/receiving documents
J. Keeps workplace organized and clean
K. Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
