Associates Systems LLC is Hiring a Gateway Spacecraft Network Engineer Near Houston, TX

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position

The selected candidate will:

Create and clarify system and requirements and architectural specifications in consideration of specifications for network
(IEEE802.3 Ethernet, and TTE (Time-Triggered Ethernet) protocols)
Definition of a network architecture in coordination with the development team, product management and the design and software department
Creation of network design requirements
Coordination and documentation of the concepts phase
Ensuring the traceability of requirements
Analysis, evaluation and assessment of the limitations of internal, vendor and module prime contractor requirements.
Implementation, moderation and documentation of reviews
Requirement management of existing products.
Perform other duties as required

Required Education/Experience/Skills:This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.

Typically has a BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of progressive, relevant experience, or an MS degree in a computer or system science and four (4) years of progressive experience, or Ph.D. degree in a computer of system science discipline
Strong background in avionics Command and Data Handling, with emphasis on how spacecraft systems route data
Strong background in ethernet protocols
Experience in managing requirements and system engineering verification testing in the aerospace sector
Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings
Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
Experience working in a team environment with collaboration tools such as Slack, Webex, Teams

Requisition Preferences:

Basic knowledge of embedded programming
Time Triggered Ethernet (TTE) experience is a plus
Experience with spacecraft avionics and circuit design or analysis is a plus
Previous experience in the application of computer network technology in space systems is a plus
