Description

We are hiring for School-age Childcare Counselors positions for our year-round programs in Seattle. Associated Recreation Council, the non-profit partner with Seattle Parks & Recreation, is currently looking for individuals who wish to actively support their communities while having fun and help provide a great experience for children ages 5-12. Our summer day camps provide a fun, creative, safe, and welcoming environment for children to learn, play, and grow.

PAY RATE: $21/hr, part-time, year-round position starting in September 2023

LOCATION: Various NE Seattle Locations

SCHEDULE

• Program starts September 2023
• Part-time, non-exempt, up to 23 hr/week position during the school-year; may work summers as well
• Monday - Friday; hours between 2:30pm - 6:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 1:00pm - 6:00pm on Wednesdays
• Due to your schedule, you can work some or all of these days; please let us know
• The schedule is subject to change based upon programming needs and requirements.
• You may be asked to work at other sites as needed to cover shifts.

Qualifications

EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have High School Diploma, GED, college transcripts or other secondary education
• At least one year of experience working with children between the ages of 5-12 years old in a recreation or childcare setting is highly preferred
• One year experience supporting and following curriculum activities with a large group of children is highly preferred
• DCYF requirements to be completed after hire to include providing MMR vaccination record, TB skin test, MERIT portable background check and WA state food worker's card etc.

WORK AUTHORIZATION | SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE)
