Associated Metalcast is Hiring a Quality Engineer Near Oxford, AL

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with all relevant regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our quality systems and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain quality assurance standards and procedures to meet customer demands in a “hands-on” team environment.
  • Maintain quality documentation, including but not limited to Control Plans, FMEAs, PPAP, etc.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers regarding quality activities and concerns.
  • Participate in the investigation of root cause determination and corrective action implementation.
  • Reviews quality assurance instructions, assembly specifications and production schedules to determine method of conducting inspections and work assignments.
  • Participate in material review, disposition and disposal.
  • Perform inspections as needed for conformity to specifications.
  • Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department.
  • Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality.
  • Apply statistical quality control procedures to production test data.
  • Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
  • Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management.
  • Attends scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful input.
  • Is flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customer or company as circumstances warrant.
  • Communicates honestly, professionally and respectfully with others and demonstrates effective listening skills.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college/university in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with cast metals and machining is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Computer skills including proficiency with MS Office required.
  • Experience with manual methods of inspection. CMM and PC-DMIS experience preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented and have a proven track record adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of AS/ISO quality systems preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
