Job Description:
As a Transcriptionist, you will play a crucial role in transcribing and editing medical documents for our psychiatric and mental health professionals. This position requires maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism while supporting our clinical and client-focused teams.
Responsibilities:

• Transcribe and edit medical dictations from mental health professionals using voice recognition technology within specified deadlines.
• Proofread transcriptions for accuracy, grammar, clarity, and adherence to medical terminology standards.
• Collaborate with clinicians to rectify any discrepancies in reports and ensure the accuracy of client records.
• Translate medical jargon and abbreviations into expanded forms to enhance documentation precision.
• Coordinate the review, signature, and inclusion of dictated reports in client’s medical records.
• Execute daily tasks and assignments as directed based on business needs.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years equivalent experience in transcription or related field.
• Proven high-level of proficiency with typing (60-80 WPM minimum)
• Superior attention to detail, grammar, and spelling.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workload efficiently.
• Proficiency in medical transcription guidelines and practices.
• Experience and proficiency with voice dictation technology is preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality protocols.
• Ability to work independently and under general supervision.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and Electronic Health Records (EHRs/EMRs).
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
