Associated Clinic of Psychology is Hiring a Master's Level Clinical Internship Geriatric Near Minneapolis, MN
- An established clinic with consistent referrals
- Supervision: individual and group
- Mileage reimbursement when the intern begins providing billable hours
- PTO and 401k provided, based on billable hours
- Opportunities to provide diagnostic assessments, therapy, consultations, and in-services
- Continuing education opportunities (every 1st & 3rd Monday of the month)
- Employment possibilities following the internship
- Each intern will be paired with either Kiana or Bekah as their primary supervisor
- Some facilities may be assigned to the other supervisor ● Both interns may be at the same facility where there is a larger caseload
- There will be 3 hours/month of individual supervision and 1 hour/month of group supervision (group supervision will include both interns and both supervisors)
- 3-tier approach:
- Shadowing for a month with Geriatric Clinicians
- Joint sessions with supervisor and intern (as long as appropriate)
- Independent work
- Passion for working with older adults in their own environment
- Interest in employment following the internship if a good fit
- Willingness to receive feedback and promptly make changes
- Professional demeanor/ Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Timely and accurate submission of documentation and other documents as required
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence/maturity and model appropriate boundaries
- Ability to work with diverse populations and have an openness/awareness of your bias
- Ability and willingness to travel within the metro area. Must possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Must pass a background check
- Preference is given to applicants with experience in the field
- A minimum number of billable hours is required for the first and second semesters
