Who We Are:
Assisting Hands® Home Care San Carlos, is looking for compassionate caregivers to join our growing team. At Assisting Hands, we offers our clients personalized non-medical caregiving services, typically in their homes. Our caregivers provide the elderly, disabled, and others needing assistance the option to maintain their independence and quality of life by assisting with their daily needs, avoiding falls, preventing medication errors, and addressing Alzheimer/dementia concerns. Our services support the individual’s preferences in order to maintain their dignity and independence.

We have immediate openings for caregivers to serve clients in San Mateo, San Carlos, Burlingame, and the surrounding areas. If you are as passionate about helping others as we are, we’d love to talk with you about joining our team!

Immediately hiring for full-time, part-time, and overnight shifts.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 professional years experience working as a caregiver in environments such as in-home care, Independent/Assisted living/Memory care community, Hospital and Rehab or you are a certified CNA, MA, LVN.
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Licensed driver with insured and reliable transportation with proof of insurance
  • Current TB or Chest X-ray; Current CPR Certification (both due upon hire)
  • Reliable transportation

Primary Duties:

  • Provides companionship
  • Assistance with daily activities including dressing guidance, grooming, meal preparations
  • Medication reminders, running errands, laundry and light housekeeping
  • Personal care and hygiene including bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, feeding and other services
  • Provides transportation for clients to doctor's appointments, beauty shops, etc.

Hours: Dependent on assignment; Shifts available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and based on availability. Assisting Hands does not guarantee hours. FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly
