At Home Palliative Care is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Palliative Care Coordinator. If you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of patients and their families, and possess exceptional communication and organizational skills, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Answering phones and providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
- Efficiently scheduling patient appointments and coordinating with healthcare providers.
- Processing referrals and obtaining necessary authorizations for services.
- Handling insurance claims and billing processes with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Documenting patient interactions and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborating effectively with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, and pharmacists.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Positive and upbeat personality with a compassionate demeanor towards patients and their families.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities and the capacity to manage various tasks efficiently.
- Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and responsibilities.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Highly organized approach to work, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Preferred: Previous experience in healthcare administration, billing, or a related field.
