Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our team. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting prospective tenants with finding their ideal rental property and ensuring a smooth leasing process. Your exceptional communication skills and knowledge of property management will contribute to the overall success of our leasing operations.
Duties:
- Conduct property tours for prospective tenants, highlighting the features and benefits of each unit
- Assist prospective tenants with completing rental applications and necessary paperwork
- Verify applicant information, including employment, income, and rental history
- Coordinate lease signings and ensure all required documents are properly executed
- Collect application fees, security deposits, and rent payments
- Respond to tenant inquiries and provide exceptional customer service throughout the leasing process
- Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities in our database
- Collaborate with the property management team to ensure units are move-in ready
- Conduct move-in and move-out inspections with tenants
Skills:
- Proficient in file management and organization
- Familiarity with Affordable Housing and Section 8 housing programs are a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and commitment to maintaining compliance
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with tenants
- Understanding of lease contracts and legal administrative procedures
- Strong conflict management skills to effectively resolve tenant issues or disputes
- Ability to manage customer relationships throughout the leasing process
- Basic knowledge of property maintenance to address tenant concerns or maintenance requests
