UI/UX Designer, Openings Studio

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Join us on a journey to redefine the user experience landscape in ASSA ABLOY! As a UI/UX Designer for Global BIM Technologies, youll be at the forefront of our mission to revolutionize how users interact with technology.

You'll play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive and cutting-edge interfaces that elevate our ecosystem, Openings Studio, to unparalleled heights. This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona and must be available to work onsite upon the opening of our new office facility.

What's in store for you as a UI/UX Designer ?

Collaborate with the Openings Studio Product Owner to translate user requirements into captivating wireframes, storyboards, and functional prototypes for various research platforms

Shape and execute the UX vision and strategy for our flagship product, Openings Studio

Cultivate and maintain design systems that transcend existing boundaries, ensuring a seamless and consistent user experience

Showcase your creations, prototypes, proof of concepts, and more to internal teams and key stakeholders, championing user-centric and delightful interactions

Advocate on behalf of human-factors and dont make me think interactions that makes software not only usable, but delightful

Uphold corporate brand standards while liaising with Group UX/CX teams to ensure compliance and Brand cohesion

Immerse yourself in a community of front-end developers and designers, staying abreast of best practices and emerging trends

Ability to self-motivate and self-manage a number of projects effectively

Ability to travel up to 10-15%; some international travel may be required so a current passport is required

You will have:

A robust portfolio reflecting 4-6 years of experience, demonstrating a commitment to human-centered design and innovative problem-solving

Degree in UX Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Human Factors, Human Systems, or equivalent industry experience

Proficiency in prototyping and interface design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD) and Adobe Creative Cloud

Intermediate-to-expert level knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop) and front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.)

Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

What sets you apart from the rest?

Previous experience within a development or software engineering team

Knowledge of current accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2, Section 508, ADA, etc.)

Previous experience or knowledge of the AEC industry

Demonstrated history and familiarity with UX research techniques
