Assa Abloy is Hiring a Material Handler II Near Austin, TX
- Processing and prioritizing material transactions, moving orders, replenishing, receiving, and organizing materials.
- Proactively logging and escalating potential issues in order to minimize safety, quality, delivery issues and operational inefficiencies.
- Complying with SOPs and work instructions related to job function
- Reaching performance standards to ensure output positively contributes to area specific KPIs (Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, Cost)
- Working collaboratively with peers and internal customers
- Performing daily 5s, cycle counting, and PM of equipment and surrounding areas required.
- Ability to work well under pressure and ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action investigations.
- Previous experience with Oracle
- The ability to learn, use and maintain specialized equipment and proprietary software.
- Prior experience with decision-making and operational leadership (assigning work orders to workstations and monitoring level of work).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to use MS Office (advanced Excel skills preferred).
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work sitting down and/or standing up for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, scoop, and reach to perform above duties.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to distinguish colors.
- The ability to work at a fast pace with very high attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills, willingness to learn and continue to grow professionally.
- Strong team player and ability to work well with others.
