ASRC Careers is Hiring a TTI Ground Support Agent Near Utqiagvik, AK

The primary responsibilities of the Ground Support Agent involve the safety, security, maintenance, customer service and to keep the property, its equipment, grounds and vehicles in a clean and orderly condition. The Ground Support Agent will also assist the rest of the staff, as directed, in their efforts to manage the property in an efficient manner. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)

  • Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, industry standards, state and federal laws.
  • Carries radio and accessible to be contacted and communicated with at all times.
  • Maintains operability, cleanliness and safety of the property, grounds, equipment and vehicles, both inside and outside. To include but not limited to: detailing, cleaning, washing, shoveling, raking. 
  • Conduct inspections, washing, cleaning, and safety checks using processes to include but not limited to checklists. Follows-up with performing additional duties to ensure measures of safety, cleanliness and meeting business needs. Documents and address areas needing attention.
  • Maintains building by performing minor maintenance activities or routine painting, to include but not limited to: trim replacement, weather stripping, secure fixtures, reboot cable boxes, lights. 
  • Performs custodial duties that include, shampooing carpets, window cleaning and light cleaning.
  • Details property on a regular basis for cleanliness and safety of property. Removes litter, debris, clutter from property and grounds. Cleans and rakes exterior grounds around and under stair areas; shovels, chips ice and mitigates risk of inclement weather i.e. show, ice, rain etc. 
  • Performs transportation and shuttles, assisting with check-ins & departures, bags, luggage, packing, moving, re-locating belongings.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and operability of hotel & tour vehicles. Details and washes trucks, vans, buses, etc. Identifies problems and follows process for resolving those issues.
  • Notifies supervisor and management concerning need for repairs or additions for property to include but not limited to: lighting, heating, plumbing, electrical or ventilating equipment and follows-up.
  • Cautions tenants regarding complaints about excessive noise, disorderly conduct, or misuse of property. Distributes and posts informational and notifications.
  • Periodically assist co-workers, supervisors and management in duties to include but not limited to: conduct inventory of supplies and business stock and requests stock for restocking, including hotel supplies, vending supplies, counting items or cash.
  • Assists with various physical tasks as directed; e.g., tearing down fences, digging post holes, carrying equipment, linens, vending items, boxes, buckets, furniture, driving and guiding, etc.

TOURIST SEASON RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform Tour Guide duties as needed.
  • Coordinate activities with tour guides and performers during tourist season; may also be required to pick-up and assist performers during tourist season.
  • Pick-up, transport and assist guests and tourists to and from the hotel, airport designated areas.
  • Assist with baggage, luggage and cargo handling.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture.
  • High school or equivalent certification.
  • Valid Alaska Driver License.
  • One (1) year of hotel clerical or administrative experience.
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Ability to operate standard office machines and basic understanding of computers.
  • Knowledge of efficient office procedures.
  • Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture.
  • Ability to speak in a clear and understandable manner and write legibly.
  • Must be able to work independently, and must be willing to work shifts that vary from day to night and operate seven days a week.
  • The ability to speak and understand the Inupiaq language is important and preferred.
