Begin your new career with Asplundh: Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is now searching for new team members at entry level “Trimmer/Climber” positions to join our team. You will become trained through our industry leading, in-field (bi-lingual) study program, on various job duties ranging from ground-trimming, climbing, bucket operations, tree felling, and specialized equipment. We train you to become a qualified Utility Line Clearance Tree Worker!

Starting annual salary in Colorado can range from $26k - $45k depending on experience, full-time (year-round), and PAID WEEKLY!

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to work outside in various weather conditions
  • Must commit to working 40 hours per week
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to arrive on time daily
  • Must be able to wear necessary PPE as per task assigned
  • Must be willing and available to respond to storm work duties
  • Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check

Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Jobsite and work area management
  • Temporary traffic control and public safety
  • Spotting and working in a team environment
  • Inspects all tools and equipment before use
  • Dragging and chipping brush into a woodchipper
  • Operates hand and power tools including gas powered chain saws
  • Tree trimming and removals using proper techniques which meet utility best practice standards
  • Perform routine line clearance maintenance, hazard tree/fire mitigation, and storm work
  • Works around hazardous equipment and electrical conductors
  • Team members are trained and required to comply with OSHA and ANSI regulatory standards along with all Company safety policies and procedures

Physical Requirements:

  • RARE (less than 10%): Sitting, Kneeling, Crawling, Color Vision, Climbing Stairs
  • OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): Stooping, Squatting, Climbing On/Off Truck, Climbing Ladders, Pushing, Reading,
  • FREQUENT (up to 66%): Carrying, Pulling, Lifting up to 50 lbs., Balancing, body-twisting, Hearing/Speech Range, Lifting, Lifting up to 10 lbs., Manual Dexterity, Speaking Clearly, Walking
  • CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): Standing, Sense of Touch, Gripping, Seeing Distant, Reaching, range-of-motion, Depth Perception, Lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., Climbing Poles, Sense of Touch

Safety

Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
