As a LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE with Aspirus Wausau Hospital & Clinics you provide basic nursing care, assist with collection of patient data and developing care plans.

Experience/Qualifications/Licensure

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited LPN program.
• Previous work experience in an acute care setting or nursing home beneficial.
• Active Wisconsin Practical Nurse License.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• For Home Health & Hospice:
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Possesses automobile liability insurance with minimum $100,000/$300,000 coverage required, or $300,000 combined single-limit liability.

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is the flagship of the Aspirus system that serves patients in 14 counties across northern and central Wisconsin, as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is a licensed private/not-for-profit facility with 325 beds and staffed by 350 physicians in 35 specialties. Aspirus Wausau Hospital is a Level II trauma center that provides primary, secondary and tertiary care services as a regional referral center. Specialty referral service emphasis exists in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics and cancer. Aspirus at Home is a part of the Aspirus health system and is a nonprofit, Medicare-certified home health agency that serves 14 north central Wisconsin counties. Aspirus At Home helps to bridge the gap between the more intensive levels of care received in a hospital, nursing or rehabilitation facility and in client's home.
