POSITION SUMMARY: The Property Service Technician performs custodian duties and other miscellaneous duties to ensure that facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. This is an experienced-level position with no direct reports that reports to the Facilities Administrator.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Move furniture within the facility.
  • Painting throughout the facility. Walls, Floors, signs, etc.
  • Secures the building nightly.
  • Small Repairs for the facility as needed.
  • Maintain locks and update locks for the facility.
  • Mops tile and/or concrete floor areas.
  • Vacuums all carpeted areas.
  • Dusts all furniture and fixtures as required.
  • Washes and disinfects all bathroom floors, toilets, toilet seats and fixtures.
  • Cleans all mirrors.
  • Replenishes toilet tissue and soap as needed.
  • Empties all waste baskets and garbage cans daily.
  • Cleans entrance and exit including glass, doors, and hardware.
  • Reports needed maintenance repairs to Manager.
  • Cleans kitchen sinks, counters and tables.
  • Spot cleans walls and carpet as needed.
  • Secures storage areas.
  • Ensures cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Maintains and restocks an adequate supply of materials and cleaning supplies.
  • Assumes responsibility for elated duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience as a housekeeper or similar

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience cleaning in a corporate building setting

  • Must be honest and trustworthy.
  • Must demonstrate sound work ethics.
  • Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Able to follow directions and work well independently.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings.
  • Must be able to read, speak and understand Standard English for receiving instructions, relaying job-related information and reading chemical labels.
  • Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes and procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in indoor and outdoor settings. The indoor settings include office, restroom, kitchen and warehouse environments which require the use of cleaning supplies and hand tools. The outdoor settings include parking lots and driveways. Occasionally subject to varying inside and/or outside temperatures, which may include extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees). The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee may be occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required use the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

Medium work; exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship.
